The Ski Town Classic is coming up this year on August 8-9, 2009. Please see the Ski Town Classic - Park City Ultimate Tournament page for information on dates and registration.

The Ski Town Classic is an Ultimate Frisbee tournament hosted in Park City, Utah. The fields are located high in the mountains, where the air is clean and the summer temperatures are perfect for ultimate. The fields are the best in the country, and provide just the right cushion for laying out without slowing you down. We look forward to seeing you at this great tournament in the amazing mountains of the Wasatch Front!

The county summer ultimate league is coming up. This league is for all skill levels, and newcomers to the sport are welcome.

League Start Date: Orientation and pickup game will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 6pm. Official games start on the 18th.

Game Times: Games begin at 6pm. Teams generally play 2 games each night. All games are played on Thursday evenings.

Fee: $25 per person if paid by June 11th. $30 after.

Location: All Spring League play will be held at the County Ice Field, 5201 South Murray Park Lane (106 East)

The UltimateSLC pickup page is now open for public editing. This means that anyone can add or edit listings on the pickup page. We are hoping that this change will allow more people to post information about their own pickup games, without the hassle of contacting UltimateSLC admins.

Your help in maintaining this new pickup page will be appreciated. Please make sure that any pickup games that you attend are accurate. As seasons change, most pickups either stop occurring or change times. Please be aware of these changes and help keep the information up-to-date.

If you have a new pickup game that you would like to list, please go ahead and add it. We only ask that you report back periodically to update your information. Thanks!

Greetings Utah Ultimate Players.

Daweena is almost here, and as always we need your help to make the tournament a success. Please be aware that all SLC players who are playing at Daweena are expected to contribute to the tournament. Please take a minute right now to let me know (destgermain@gmail.com) if you can assist in any of the following areas:

1. Sat/Sun morning food shopping and delivery - involves going to the store a day before the tournament and purchasing food (bagels, etc), picking up coffee, and bringing it to the tournament (before teams arrive), and storing it sat night and bringing more food on Sunday. Jayde and John Pruden will help you with the logistics (but won't be going to the tourney this year).
2. Friday afternoon field setup - Carpool up to the fields Friday afternoon, move the goal posts, and help get the fields lined and ready to go.
3. Sunday afternoon field take down - Clean up trash, take down the fields, put the goal posts back.
4. Misc - be willing to help out with other duties

Golden Spike will be holding tryouts for all those interested in being a part of the 2009 team. The team will be participating in the fall series with the goal of advancing to the national championship competition in Sarasota, Florida.

Tryout dates:
Saturday, May 16th 9:00am – 1:00pm
Wednesday, May 27th 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Sunday, May 31st 9:00am – 1:00pm

Congratulations to the University of Utah Men's Ultimate team, Zion curtain, for winning the 2009 Big Sky sectional tournament. Utah will move on to play other sectional champion teams in the North-West regional tournament in Corvallis, Oregon on May 2-3, 2009.
